Jacob is an Eastern North Carolina native who joined Breeden Law with the goal of using his law degree to help people during some of their most stressful and difficult moments.
Jacob enjoys being the person who brings calm, clarity, and direction when life feels overwhelming, and family law provides the opportunity to be that person for his clients.
A graduate of Lees-McRae College and of Elon School of Law, Jacob’s diverse and interesting education and work experience and the depth of his North Carolina roots made an impression from our first interview. Before he used his law school summers to try different areas of law, Jacob held part-time and summer jobs at the local IGA, as a carpenter for a Harnett County builder, as a ski lift operator at Beech Mountain, and negotiating international agreements as a contracting officer for UNC-Chapel Hill.
The through line in his education and work experience is Jacob’s strong work ethic, his focused approach to the task at hand, and his ability to communicate his expertise clearly on a wide range of topics.
When he isn’t working, Jacob enjoys doing projects on his homestead with his wife and their miniature poodle Chaucer, raising a small flock of chickens, beekeeping, and playing video games. He roots for the Carolina Panthers, loves The Lord of the Rings (movies and books), and ranks Punta Cana as his number one travel spot so far.
