About Robert Massey

Robert’s motivation to practice family law stems from his own family history. Having seen members of his family experience separation, divorce, and domestic violence, he developed a passion for helping others overcome difficult times in their lives.

His approach to family law is first and foremost to be present with his clients throughout the process, and he is personally committed to Breeden Law’s focus on providing peace and stability for children.

As a student and member of the baseball team at Brevard College, as an undergraduate at NC State, and during his time at Campbell Law, Robert exceled inside and outside of the classroom. During law school, his extracurricular activities focused on using the law to advocate for real people and gaining courtroom experience.

Robert counts winning Campbell Law School’s Old Kivett Intramural Moot Court Competition and winning the Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition as highlights of his law school experience. In recognition of his standout performances and high ethical standards, Robert was inducted into The Order of Barristers, a national honor society that recognizes high performance in the art of courtroom advocacy, and into Campbell Law’s Order of Old Kivett, which recognizes exemplary professionalism and high ethical standards while performing in competitions on behalf of the school.

When he is not at work, Robert enjoys going on adventures with his wife Hannah, their labradoodle Max, and their cat Molecule. His favorite travel destination so far is Acadia National Park, where he and Hannah were married. On any given weekend, you can find them hiking and kayaking, cooking, solving puzzles, rooting for the L.A. Dodgers, or watching “The Princess Bride.”
